Cuomo: Martial law not coming to New York State

Speaking at a media briefing, Cuomo said rumors of New Yorkers being on the verge of state-wide quarantines or locked in their homes and the entire state being shut down were untrue.

He also pushed back at reporters who questioned if New York will follow California's lead by shutting down several counties. He said as of now, he strongly urged New Yorkers to follow medical advice to stay home to control the spread of the coronavirus but he wasn't declaring martial law.
