PENN YAN, N.Y. (AP) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo is hitting the Finger Lakes wineries trail in an effort to boost tourism in upstate New York.

Cuomo starts the Governor's Cup Wine Tour and Competition early Tuesday afternoon at the Anthony Road Wine Company in Penn Yan, on the northern end of Keuka Lake in Yates County.

Afterward he'll head to nearby Seneca Lake and the Glenora Wine Cellars in Dundee, followed by a stop at Lakewood Vineyards in Watkins Glen in neighboring Schuyler County.

After the tour, Cuomo will present the Governor's Cup, which recognizes the best wine in New York state.
