Curbside Pickup: Spotsylvania Restaurants Adapting To Coronavirus

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — While restaurants in the Fredericksburg area may have their dine-in section closed due to the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, their curbside and delivery options are still available. In order to bring in revenue and avoid laying off workers, restaurants are adapting to what could be several months of social distancing in the age of the coronavirus.

On Tuesday, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam adopted the federal government's guideline of limiting gatherings to 10 people in a confined space in response to the coronavirus. The governor's order gave police departments the ability to enforce the 10-patron limit in the state.

The Spotsylvania County government is doing what it can to help its small businesses, including restarurants. On Thursday, the county's Department of Economic Development & Tourism provided a list of restaurants in the county that are offering curbside service.
