Curious Wild Dolphins Romp With Man on Water Scooter
A keen videographer filmed a friend’s encounter with wild dolphins while exploring the waters near Yallingup, Western Australia, back in September 2020.
Footage recorded by Dylan deHaas shows a man in camouflage gear following two wild dolphins with a whizzing engine, which deHaas explained was a water scooter.
He told Storyful that he and his friend were out in the water looking for crabs, and that they could hear the dolphins but couldn’t see them right away.
“Then out of nowhere, these two dolphins came out and started playing with the scooter, almost trying the ride the front of it!” he said. “No matter what we did, they stuck right by us for hours literally 10cm from us at times.”
