Popular eatery decides to shut down temporarily, according to a report

Hometown Kitchen in Somers decided to shut down temporarily for two weeks due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic, WFSB 3 TV reported. No one is sick at the eatery, but continuing staff shortages have taxed the existing staff, and the owner decided everyone needed a break to recover. Man seriously injured in accident, family speaks out, according to a report

A 23-year-old Rocky Hill man had to have one of his legs amputated after being involved in a serious accident on I-91 last week, and his family is speaking out and trying to find the driver, WFSB 3 TV reported. The victim, according to WFSB 3 TV, said two drivers were racing at the time of the accident, which occurred on Jan. 19. (Read More at WFSB 3 TV).


3 hospitalized after car crashes into building, according to a report

Three people were hospitalized after a car crashed into a building in New Britain Sunday night, NBC CT reported. (Read the full story here).


Fatal pedestrian accident investigated, according to a report

A 60-year-old man was struck and killed by a car just after midnight Sunday in Waterbury near Thomaston Avenue, Fox 61 reported. The driver of the car stayed at the scene, police told Fox 61. (Read More at Fox 61).


1 killed, 1 injured in shooting, according to a report

One person was killed, while another was injured, in a shooting in Norwich Sunday, Fox 61 reported. The incident occurred on School Street. Police told Fox 61 that prior to their arrival a fight has occurred at a residence. (Read More at Fox 61).
