Man accused of throwing hot coffee at McDonald's employee turns himself in to police
The South Carolina man accused of throwing hot coffee at a McDonald’s employee was arrested on Wednesday.
The Camden Police Department told WACH that a warrant for the arrest of Joshua Emery Noel on charges of second-degree assault and battery was issued on Jan. 11 after officials obtained surveillance footage of a man at a local McDonald’s drive-through. In the video, the man is visibly aggravated as he waits for an order of fries, and ultimately ends up throwing his hot coffee onto a 16-year-old employee.
Police got tips from people who identified the man as Noel. On Wednesday, Noel turned himself in to police and reportedly admitted to throwing the coffee. He was ultimately released on a $7,500 bond.
