Customers rushing to return Apple Vision Pro: report

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Apple is seeing customers returning its new Apple Vision Pro after launching the product earlier this month.

The Today Show reported many online complaints mentioned comfort, use, and especially price as reasons for why they would be returning the device.

On TikTok, Jeremy Judkins said the Apple Vision Pro is not currently worth it, but went on to say the first iPhone wasn’t worth the price and said he expects the Vision Pro will get there eventually.

“I have no doubt the Apple Vision Pro will get good,” Judkins said.

The headset, which Apple calls a “spatial computing” product rather than a virtual reality headset, carries a starting price point of $3,499 for the 256GB model and can reach well over $4,000 for higher storage models after fees and taxes.

Comparatively, the Meta Quest 3, the popular headset from the Facebook parent company, begins at $499.99, a seventh of the price of the Apple Vision Pro.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to Instagram to post his thoughts, saying the Quest 3 not only is the better value, but is also the better product.

For now, it seems many on the internet are agreeing with him.
