We'd like to introduce you to someone very special: this is Lucy. She won our hearts as an elusive stray on the streets of San Leandro. We went out on rescue missions for weeks before we were finally able to catch her. The moment she was in the car with us, and we finally saw those golden eyes up close… wow. We have been in love ever since. Lucy is a soft, gentle soul. She is initially fearful with new people and in new situations, and looks to those she trusts for reassurance. In her current foster home she has really blossomed. We think Lucy is about 3 years old, 60lbs, and maybe some sort of pointer/lab/staffy mix, but who knows!

Topeka ... this little doggy knows that she's not in Kansas anymore! Topeka is an amazing little Chihuahua Miniature Pinscher with soft black and tan fur and a cute little button-like nose! She's also got spunk: she's a barrel of laughs, and she's more entertaining than a train ride! Topeka is always up for fun and always looking for an adventure. She's also very friendly to everyone. She's just a lovely lady looking for her own little forever house on the prairie!

You don't have to be an astronomer to know that these cuties are celestial! Solstice and Equinox are the true definition of a bonded pair. Equinox is the extrovert of the two and helps Solstice get around ... it is the cutest thing. Solstice literally grabs on to Equinox's ear and he leads her around. Could you just die of the cuteness? He's literally a seeing eye dog for a dog, because Solstice cannot see so well. These two are soooo cute! They are the sweetest pair and are happy to snuggle with you any time. They are quiet and easy. We know that you will fall in love with this pair, just as we have. Solstice is estimated to be 15 years young and weighs 20 lbs. Equinox is estimated to be 14 years young and weighs 21 lbs.

Nacho is an adorable six-year-old, five-pound Chihuahua who is looking for the perfect companion. He is recovering from flea allergies and he's ready to find his forever home. Nacho is afraid of noises, so a nice quiet home, without children, would be perfect, with someone who can help work on his self-confidence. He gets along with other dogs, but he prefers to be on your lap. He loves to go in his crate and take naps. Nacho is pee-pad trained and would be okay for apartment living, since he's not a barker.

My name is Frito, and just like the chips, once you have a little of my cuddles, you'll definitely want to come back for more. I am a sweet and wiggly 1-3 year old Staffordshire terrier mix, and I am about 50 pounds. I was found in pretty bad shape. I was skinny and my skin was not doing great. Luckily, I've been recovering and am currently doing so much better, which means it's my turn to get adopted!

My skin is doing great, but I'm patiently waiting for my fur to fully grow back. I am such a smart boy. I love treats, and have already learned that I get them if I "sit" and go "down" on cue. Training should be part of my new life, as well as plenty of opportunities for mental stimulation.
