CVG ranks in top 10 for 2 regional airport awards. Here are the winners
The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport cracked the top 10 in two airport rankings released by Skytrax this year.
Based out of the United Kingdom, Skytrax is a consulting company that runs an airline and airport review and ranking site. This year, CVG placed in two categories: second for Best Regional Airports in North America in 2023 and 10th overall for the World's Best Regional Airports in 2023.
CVG has ranked No. 1 seven times in the past 11 years for Skytrax's Best Regional Airports in North America, and it came in second place in 2022. This year, the William P. Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas, took first place in the category and LaGuardia Airport in New York City came in third.

Chubu Centrair International Airport in Japan was named the best regional airport in the world.
Skytrax considers a regional airport to be one that predominately serves domestic or regional international flights. Although it may serve intercontinental routes, its primary focus is short haul and the regional market. The awards were given based on survey data of travel experiences in areas including check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration, departure and arrival gates.
