CVS location in Hopewell Township to close on Oct. 24
HOPEWELL TWP. ― Residents who receive their prescriptions at the CVS Pharmacy at 3000 Heights Road will need to transfer to a new location by the end of October.
According to signage located around the store, the CVS near Hopewell Township's "Five Points" intersection will close on Oct. 24. On the posted message, the pharmacy indicated it was a "pleasure to serve" the community, but the store will join the growing number of CVS locations that have ended their retail and pharmacy operations over the past three years.
The drive-through for prescription pick-ups was closed to traffic on Thursday, with a sign encouraging visitors to visit the counter inside the building. Those with prescriptions at the store are encouraged to switch their pick-ups to other local CVS stores, which include:
CVS 4055, located at 2719 Broadhead Road, Aliquippa (3.5 miles away)
CVS 4039, located at 300 Eighth St., Ambridge (3.6 miles away)
CVS 4232, located at 850 Pennsylvania Ave., Monaca (10.2 miles away)
In addition to these alternative CVS locations, residents can transfer their prescriptions to new pharmacies that accept their insurance. Some local options near Hopewell Township include:
