CWU's Namosimalua, Tinoisamoa named to U.S. U20 team

Jun. 22—ELLENSBURG — Two Central Washington women's rugby players — loose forward Winnie Namosimalua and center Kerena Tinoisamoa — were selected to compete with the United States U20 women's rugby team when they travel to Canada next month.

"Congrats to Winnie and Rena on their selection to the USA U20s," CWU women's rugby Head Coach Matthew Ramirez said in a release. "There's no doubt they'll bring physicality and skill to the squad and represent the program well. A massive accomplishment by these two to wear the red, white and blue!"

The two will join fellow Wildcat Jessica Postle, who was named to the Canada U20 team last week, at a series of matches in Ottawa as part of the Women's Pacific Four Series. Women's national teams from the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia will all be represented.

The U.S. U20 team will begin play against Wales at 3:30 p.m. on July 4, then will take on Canada at 9 a.m. on July 8.
