Cybersecurity Lawyer Kristen Mathews Joins Morrison & Foerster as Partner

  • Kristen Mathews has joined Morrison & Foerster as a partner. She previously headed the privacy and cybersecurity group at Proskauer Rose.



  • Sherri Lydell has joined Tarter Krinsky & Drogin as a partner in the firm’s commercial finance and bankruptcy and corporate restricting practice. Prior to joining she was with Platzer, Swergold, Levine, Goldberg, Katz & Jaslow.



  • Jenner & Block has added Charles Riely, a former assistant regional director of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement, as a partner. He is a member of the firm’s investigations, compliance and defense practice.



  • Robert Boresta joins FisherBroyles as a partner. Prior to joining he was a director at Gibbons.



  • Latham & Watkins announced today that Justin Hamill has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the M&A, private equity, and entertainment, sports & media practices. He was previously with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.



  • Sunil Savkar has joined Debevoise & Plimpton as partner and member of the firm’s finance Group and private equity group. He was previously at Ropes & Gray.



  • The Rockefeller Foundation has named Maria Santos Valentin as general counsel and corporate secretary for the foundation. She was previously with the Soros Economic Development Fund where she served as secretary and general counsel.



  • Michael Zinder has joined Hunton Andrews Kurth as special counsel in the firm’s finance practice. He was formerly with Willkie Farr & Gallagher.



  • Moritt Hock & Hamroff has named Robert Finkel as the partner-in-charge of its New York office.



  • Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has hired William Sorabella as a partner. He will continue his public company and private equity mergers and acquisitions practice. He was formerly with Kirkland & Ellis.



  • Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel has promoted David Blabey, Jr., and Helayne Stoopack to counsel, effective April 1, 2019. They are members of the firm’s bankruptcy and restructuring and tax practices, respectively, The firm has also promoted Steven Segal (corporate), Joseph Shifer (bankruptcy and restructuring), Benu Wells (intellectual property) and Jill Garfinkel (real estate practices), to special counsel.



  • Marlene Guzzino has joined Kasowitz Benson Torres as a special counsel in the firm’s real estate transactions group. Prior to joining, she was with Greenberg Traurig.
