Cyclist injured after being struck by SUV on Deer Trail Road in Boulder County

Jun. 24—A cyclist was hospitalized Wednesday evening after being struck by a woman driving an SUV on Deer Trail Road.

Colorado State Master Trooper Gary Cutler said the crash occurred in the 1000 block of Deer Trail Road at 7:11 p.m. Wednesday.

Cutler said the bicyclist, a 34-year-old man, was transported to Boulder Community Health's Foothills Hospital with moderate injuries.

The driver, a 27-year-old woman, was not injured.

Cutler said investigators believe the driver of the vehicle was at fault.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no citations have been issued at this time.
