DA Rollins Pledges To Vacate Thousands Of Drug Convictions Linked To Lab Scandal

Suffolk County DA Rachael Rollins pledged to vacate drug convictions for potentially tens of thousands of defendants whose cases are tied to a troubled former state drug testing lab.

- DA Rachael Rollins is now promising to drop tens of thousands of drug convictions because of state lab tampering. The DA says anyone whose drug certification was done by Annie Dookhan or Sonja Farak at the state lab can apply to have their convictions vacated. Rollins and her predecessor Dan Conley have previously sought to vacate thousands of convictions linked to Dookhan and Farak, who were both convicted of tampering with evidence in criminal cases.
