This dad went to the mall dressed as Buddy the Elf on Black Friday, and TikTok viewers couldn’t get enough!
TikTok user Maddy Buckley (@maddy_buckley) posted a hilarious video of her dad taking on the classic Will Ferrell character from Elf, and it quickly went viral with almost 15 million views and counting.

The clip begins with Buckley’s dad excitedly hopping through the parking lot towards the mall. A caption appears reading “POV: your dad dresses up as Buddy the Elf on Black Friday.”

As Buckley’s dad enters the mall, which is of course decked out in holiday decorations, the first person he encounters is a caught-off-guard Mall Santa, who shoots the dad a perplexed look after the oversized elf yells out, “Santa! It’s me Buddy!”
What follows is a jolly romp through the mall, as the dad cracks up shoppers with an array of antics that would make Buddy himself proud. Whether he’s taking a photo with Santa, riding the escalator as if he had never seen one before, or spraying a bottle of perfume into his mouth, Buckley’s dad definitely knows how to put on a show!
Viewers loved how Buckley’s dad took spreading Christmas cheer to the next level with his hilarious (and accurate!) Buddy the Elf impression.
“OKAY, YOU OFFICIALLY HAVE THE COOLEST DAD IN THE WORLD,” exclaimed one enthusiastic viewer.
“This is the kind of parent I strive for my future husband and I to be,” wrote another TikToker.

Even Santa Claus himself got in on the fun, commenting “I love the Christmas cheer!”
