Dads are overcome with emotion when they finally meet their twin newborns: ‘What a beautiful moment’
Few things in life are more exciting than getting to meet your baby for the first time. And TikTok users and parents Erik and Adam McEwen, aka the McHusbands (@mchusbands), got a double dose of that excitement the day their twin daughters were born.
The video, which has over 3 million views on TikTok, shows the McHusbands sitting in a hospital room, moments away from parenthood. A close-up shot in which they wait in eager anticipation is split with footage of the whole room.

The palpable excitement builds as two hospital staff members in scrubs, each holding a newborn baby, enter the room. Understandably, the dads can hardly contain themselves as they hold their new babies, and emotions ensue for everyone in the room.
The hospital staff give their congratulations and take pictures. “Okay, this is a tear moment.” says one staff member fanning her hands over her eyes. The clip’s split-screen shots make the moment all the more visceral.

Hearts all over TikTok melted at the precious sight. “Those babies are going to be SOOOO loved!” one user commented.
“This is making me cry. I’m so happy for y’all!” gushed another.
TikTok users have been able to watch the McEwen twins grow up right before their eyes. Now age 3, the twins are just living life with their fun-loving dads. The family of 4 enjoy performing sketches and can’t resist the occasional Clueless reference.
The term parenting is more inclusive than ever, and the McEwen’s wonderfully illustrate how love and nurturing are what really makes a family.
