Warning: Riverdale season 3 episode 19 spoilers ahead:

Yes, The Farm is absolutely terrifying. It's slowly taking over Riverdale, turning formerly charismatic characters into zombies of their former selves. But let's take a minute to think about Juniper and Dagwood (I know, I can't even type those names without rolling my eyes), the poor babies that were BORN into this cult. While Cheryl, Toni, Alice, Kevin, and everyone else voluntarily joined The Farm, J and D didn't have a choice.

Need a refresher on these poor babies and the short life they have lived so far? Here's everything you need to know about Polly's twins and the crazy circumstances into which they were born.

What's their backstory?

For those who forgot, Juni and Dag (look, I made their names kind of better) are the offspring of Betty's sister Polly and Cheryl's late brother Jason. Initially, when the couple found out they were pregnant, they planned to run away to The Farm together. Of course, that doesn't work out-Polly gets sent to Sisters of Quiet Mercy and Jason gets killed by his father-but Polly does end up going to The Farm in season two, when the Black Hood is terrorizing Riverdale. It is there that Juniper and Dagwood are born (and named).

The twins quickly get acclimated to life in Riverdale when they are more or less kidnapped by their fake half-brother Chic (remember him?). He takes them for a walk along Sweetwater River without their mother's consent, and despite the fact that they return unscathed, it's enough to cause Polly to leave town and take the babies west.

It really isn't until season 3 when Alice joins The Farm and the organization officially moves to Riverdale that we see the babies more frequently. That's when they literally get baptized by fire...like seriously.

Are they ok?

Juniper and Dagwood take on a bigger role in the most recent episode of Riverdale when it is revealed that not only is Alice marrying Edgar Evernever, but after the wedding he will be adopting Juniper and Dagwood as his own. Betty meets with Penelope Blossom, J and D's other grandmother, in order to get her help in freeing the babies from The Farm and the weird fate of their grandmother Alice becoming their adopted mother.

Penelope and Betty head to The Farm, where Penelope is able to negotiate the release of Dagwood-honestly, it's really unclear how she does even this-but Juniper stays with Edgar. At that point it seems like Dagwood has been renamed Jason Jr. and he is now in Penelope's hands. It's questionable if that's a better circumstance for him than staying at The Farm.

And that's where we leave them for now. The twins are separated, Dagwood has a new and improved name, and it's unclear what their fates hold. Will they be reunited before the end of the season? Will they ever age? Will Juniper get renamed as well? Anything it possible in Riverdale.
