Good morning, friends, Tennessean food eater Brad Schmitt here, with our very latest rankings — We went to every single one of the restaurant outlets (except for 60 Vines) at Assembly Food Hall and ranked them 1 to 22.

Why the Assembly Food Hall? Well, yes, the entire 5th + Broadway complex downtown mostly is overrun by tourists. BUT, turns out lots of Nashvillians work downtown, too. And if you're going to see a concert at The Ryman or Bridgestone Arena, Assembly Food Hall is a place with reasonable prices — and with lots and lots of choices — to get a pre-show meal.

But are any of them worth a rip? Do the satellite locations for some of the city's most well-known spots — Prince's, Thai Esane, Pharmacy Burger — live up to their motherships' offerings?

That exactly what real Tennessean food writer Mackensy Lunsford and I explored for this comprehensive and fun-filled review of 22 spots at Assembly Food Hall. (Here are actual sentences Mack wrote about one of these spot: "The rest seems universally overly creamy, but I'm a bit of a taco purist. Your mileage may vary.")
