Daily Digit: Nearly half of Americans live in a household in which someone has a preexisting condition

According to a new study, 44% of adults live in a household where they or a family member have a preexisting condition, with older Americans more likely to report themselves or a family member to be affected. The 2010 Affordable Care Act made it illegal for insurers to deny coverage, raise premiums or put benefit limits on those who have preexisting conditions.
