Daily Digit: Trump is sticking to his promise to roll back regulation
Daily Digit is the story behind the numbers that make our world work. Today we’re looking at one area where President Trump has stuck to his word: rolling back regulation. Since Trump took office, his administration has overturned 76 regulations that deal specifically with environmental issues. The now-defunct rules governed various facets of air pollution, the handling of toxic materials, drilling, and other environmental issues. Perhaps not coincidentally, many of the rollbacks are reversals of former President Barack Obama’s environmental policies.
