Mint chocolate is amazing all year round but it really hits its stride around St. Patrick's Day. It's probably mostly because it's green but something about this flavor combo hits differently once this spring holiday rolls around. If you're already looking forward to all things delicious on St. Patrick's Day, you'll be happy to know that a mint chocolate favorite is hitting Dairy Queen menus again.

Looks like the Mint Oreo Blizzard will be coming back to the chain this year. It features bright green mint-colored soft serve with Oreo pieces and creme de menthe for a delicious and truly festive treat.

If you haven't noticed, McDonald's also released something similar with its Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, so I'd say this is just the occasion for a little taste test of your own. See how they both stack up. Or if you can even bear to pick a favorite.

If Blizzards aren't exactly your thing, you can still get in on the bright green fun. Dairy Queen will also be serving up the DQ Mint Shake, which is made with creme de menthe blended with milk and vanilla soft serve which is then finished off with whipped topping.

These will both be available in March, and the Oreo Mint Blizzard will be DQ's Blizzard of the Month. That being said, we've seen this kind of thing enough to know that they tend to pop up a little early in some places so be sure to keep your eyes on your local DQ's menu!
