Dak Attack! Cowboys’ Prescott bumps Tua from No. 1; Mahomes wins Week 12 in Herald NFL QB rankings

DAK ATTACK!: DALLAS’ PRESCOTT RISES TO NO. 1 OVERALL, KANSAS CITY’S MAHOMES WINS WEEK 12 IN MIAMI HERALD’S UPDATED NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: The Cowboys’ Dak Prescott is No. 1 overall for the first time this season in the Miami Herald’s NFL quarterback rankings through Week 12. Prescott jumps two spots to the top on the wing of a 45.55-point game that ranked second for the week — less than one point behind the winning Week 12 total for the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes. Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa dips from No. 1 to second in the overall rankings but it’s a virtual tie at the top, with Tagovailoa less than two points behind. Our ratings system is cumulative not percentile-based, rewarding players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. Because it is cumulative, players on a bye take a temporary hit that evens out over the course of a season.
