The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced 60 semifinalists in the Seniors and Coaches and Contributors categories on Wednesday.

The Dallas Cowboys had two players and two scouts among the 60 semifinalists. The Cowboys selected were Dan Reeves, Frank “Bucko” Kilroy, John Wooten and Everson Walls.

Reeves played running back for the Cowboys from 1965-1972 amassing 3,683 yards and 42 touchdowns. Reeves won Super Bowl VI with the Cowboys as a player.

Reeves would also coach for the Cowboys in 1972 and again from 1974-1980 and won Super Bowl XII as an assistant coach. Reeves would go on to be the head coach for the Denver Broncos, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons winning two AP Coach of the Year awards.

Frank “Bucko” Kilroy was a scout for the Cowboys from 1965-1970 and was instrumental in Dallas drafting future Cowboy legend Roger Staubach. Kilroy would go on to become an executive for the New England Patriots from 1971-2007 where he would win three Super Bowls with the team.

John Wooten was the second black man to play varsity football for the University of Colorado, he would later join the Cowboys as an executive from 1975-1991 winning Super Bowl XII. Wooten was later elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2012.

Everson Walls was a Texas native who was signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 1981 and would play for the team until 1988. Walls led the league in interceptions as a rookie and shares an NFL record with Ed Reed for most seasons leading the NFL in interceptions with three. Walls would go on to win Super Bowl XXV with the New York Giants.

The semifinalists were chosen by two panels, a 12-person Seniors Committee which accounts for 31 of the semifinalists, and a 12-person Coach and Contributor Committee which selected the other 29.

The Cowboys will also have two linebackers inducted into the Hall of Fame class of 2023 when Demarcus Ware and Chuck Howley are inducted at 11 a.m. on Aug. 5 at Canton’s Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
