The Authentic Community, an extension of the Authentic Church in New Philadelphia, will hold a basketball skills camp hosted by current Dallas Mavericks and former University of Michigan standout Trey Burke.

The camp for boys and girls in grades 5 though 9 will take place at the Eastern Ohio Sports Complex in Sherrodsville on July 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The cost is $95 per athlete and there is a limited capacity of 200 attendees.

Burke, a Columbus native, has also played for the Utah Jazz, the Washington Wizards, the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Keith Green, the operations manager of the Authentic Church, was behind the idea of having an NBA star conduct a camp locally.

"Trey and I are from the same hometown, same high school [Columbus Northland] and I'm good friends with his dad, Benji," said Green. "I've been in this area for about four years now and I haven't seen any pro guys come through here."

Players can register at www.AuthenticTusc.org or call the Huggins Camp at 330-696-2169.
