Dallas School Board approves most of lean agenda

Feb. 12—DALLAS TWP. — The Dallas School Board approved most of the lean agenda at Monday's monthly meeting, though members opted to table votes on the course description books for the coming school year at the middle and high schools.

The board:

—Approved the appointment of Lindsey Gruver, Abigail James, Nancy Rehm and Carly Rigby as professional/nonprofessional substitutes.

—Appointed as housekeepers Donnell Jackson and Rose Murray.

—Appointed Melissa Goodspeed and Monika Orzechowski as bus/van drivers employed by G. Davis, Inc., the transportation company contracted by the district.

—Appointed Joann Morris as Science Olympiad advisor at $1,433, Diane Heidel as sophomore class adviser at $762, and John Zug as Future Business Leaders of America at $1,355. All stipends are pro-rated.

—Approved an agreement with Herff Jones, Inc., Cap and Gown Division, to supply graduation caps and gowns for 2024 at a cost of $30.56 per unit.

—Accepted a letter of intent to retire from first-grade teacher Barbara Brandt.
