Dalraida home comes with HVAC update

A newer HVAC system adds to the appeal of a four-bedroom, two-bath home for sale in peaceful Dalraida. The one-story traditional design also provides more than 2,000 square feet of living space in the heart of the popular Montgomery neighborhood.

Dalraida is located north of Wares Ferry Road, between Dalraida Road, the Eastbrook shopping complex, and Gunter Annex.

The home at 733 North Georgetown Drive in Dalraida is for sale for $174,900. The design includes four bedrooms and two full bathrooms within 2,058 square feet of living space.

The neighborhood is known for its larger lots, roomy homes, mature trees, and a location convenient to schools, the Gunter Annex, grocers and retailers.

Homes in Dalraida range in age from 50 to about 75 years old, veteran Realtor Gary Sullivan said. “Styles are primarily ranch and traditional. Mostly single level brick on a slab,” Sullivan said. “The neighborhood is primarily quiet, settled, and friendly. Dalraida is located close to shopping, an elementary school and Gunter.”

School-aged children can easily walk from the neighborhood to Dalraida Elementary School. An entrance to the Gunter Annex is located at the end of Dalraida Road, making the neighborhood especially attractive for those connected to the military.

Lots in Dalraida range from level to gently sloping, and include a variety of mature trees.

“The home has formal areas with a fireplace plus a large den with a fireplace,” Sullivan said. “The home is priced competitively with the seller supplying a home warranty and some contribution towards buyer closing costs.”

Four-bedroom, two-bath designs are rarely for sale in Dalraida, Sullivan said. “The home also has two fireplaces and a large, level fenced yard with a wired workshop,” Sullivan said. “The owner loved the quiet, settled atmosphere and the friendly, helpful neighbors. The large den was her favorite room.”

The master bath includes a walk-in shower. Outside, a large patio sets the stage for relaxing backyard cookouts under the shade trees. Healthy shrubs in the front of the home add to the property's curb appeal.

The home was built in 1956. The HVAC system was replaced in 2019 and a new roof was put on in 2010, Sullivan said.
