Dam Worth It doing big things at Oregon State

The Dam Worth It group is doing big things at Oregon State. The group's mission reads:

Utilize the influential platform of sport to open up the conversation around mental health in the college environment and work to end the stigma. Making every team, every sport, and every student know that they are Dam Worth It.

The group rotates around to each athletic team's game or competition to host a #DamWorthIt night to bring awareness to mental health at OSU and across the NCAA.

Our NBC Sports team caught up with two of the group's leaders before Oregon State's homecoming game vs. Utah to talk about the influence, value, and purpose of the movement.

Watch the video above to hear from Lindsay and Kate on all the good work the Dam Worth It group is doing.

Don't miss Headstrong: Mental Health and Sports which explores the factors that have led to an increase in mental health-related issues, as well as prevention, education, & impact.

Coming to NBC Sports Northwest in November.
