The University of Connecticut has finalized extensions with men's basketball coach Dan Hurley and football coach Randy Edsall, the school announced on Friday.

Hurley has been with UConn since 2018, and signed a two-year extension, keeping him with the school through the 2027 season.

"I feel great about where we're at. Year three, first year back in the Big East, we're competing at the top of the league... it's only bigger and better from here," said Hurley.

Edsall's extension is also for two years, which will keep him at UConn through 2023. Edsall is in his second tenure as the school's football coach, having also been at the helm from 1999 to 2010.

Edsall will continue to make $1.256 million a year, while Hurley's salary will remain at $2.9 million.

UConn cancelled all football competition in 2020 amid the pandemic. The men's basketball program is 13-6, and 10-6 against Big East opponents, good for third place in the conference.
