Dancing on Ice star Ryan Thomas "wounded" just days before launch

Dancing on Ice 2024 contestant Ryan Thomas was "wounded" during rehearsals this week.
With the launch episode just days away, the Celebrity Big Brother winner's professional partner Amani Fancy shared a backstage clip of Ryan nursing a sore shoulder onto Instagram Stories, with an ice pack on it.
Fellow star Greg Rutherford could also be seen putting ice on one of his wrists, as Amani captioned the video: "The wounded @ryanthomas84 @gregrutherford (Don't worry everyone, they're just sore)".

Fortunately, it's less serious than Tippy Packard's knee injury, who had to be replaced as Eddie the Eagle's pro as a result.
Vicky Ogden is now partnering with Eddie, and she wrote on Instagram: "Exciting announcement! I'm absolutely thrilled to share that I'll be skating with the incredible Eddie on this season of @dancingonice.
"Eddie 'The Eagle' is a true legend who has captured the hearts of fans worldwide. This year, we're determined to show just how iconic he is. Together, let's recreate the magic and cheer Eddie on like we did all those years ago. Are you ready? 5, 6, 7, 8. Let's do this, Eddie!"

Ryan's younger brother Adam Thomas competed in last year's edition of Strictly Come Dancing, and recently offered his help should Ryan need it.
Accompanying a shot of the pair kissing Ryan's daughter Lilah Rae, Adam wrote of his brother: "He is my world and so happy for the adventure he's about to embark on soon... so excited…
"I can give you some lessons on the dancing brother if you need it..."
