Dancing On Ice's Holly Willoughby reveals what to expect from John Barrowman as a judge
Dancing on Ice will have a major shake-up for the new series as John Barrowman joins the judging panel, replacing Jason Gardiner.
Barrowman was a contestant on the 2006 series of the show and was eliminated in the fourth week.
But speaking to OK!, Dancing on Ice host Holly Willoughby said Barrowman will make a "wonderful" judge, after exiting the series too early when he was a contestant.
"He is going to be just wonderful because he’s full of life," Holly said.
"[When he was a contestant on the show in 2006] he was really good, he was one of those ones who shouldn’t have gone out when he did, to be honest."
Last month Barrowman exclusively spoke to Digital Spy about what fans can expect from him as a judge.
"I can't really tell you what kind of judge I will be yet on Dancing on Ice, because I haven't really done it yet," he said.
"I'm waiting for the first time when I can experience it and when I can see the performances and give my opinion. I'm really looking forward to it.
"I think I'll be a fair judge, I think I'll be an honest judge, I think I will be critical, and I'm really looking forward to being entertained. If they don't entertain me, I'm sure going to tell them!"
The new series of Dancing on Ice will see Maura Higgins Michael Barrymore, Joe Swash, H from Steps, Perri Kiely, Lisa George, Libby Clegg MBE and her guide dog Hattie, Trisha Goddard, Lucrezia Millarini, Kevin Kilbane, Ben Hanlin and Caprice Bourret taking part.
There will also be a Christmas special (featuring the return of Gemma Collins) airing on December 22.
Dancing on Ice returns for its new series in 2020.
