‘Dancing With The Stars’ fans furious after shocking elimination

It was “Grease” night on “Dancing With the Stars,” Monday, and viewers who were hopelessly devoted to Melanie C were not happy with the outcome. The Spice Girl put on an excellent performance but fell short on when it came to audience and judge votes.

Melanie C found herself in the bottom two with Olivia Jade. Both contestants received all 9’s from the judges for their performances, but lacked fan votes. Even though judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli voted to save Melanie C, head judge Len Goodman’s vote was weighted more heavily and he agreed with Derek Hough that Olivia Jade should be saved.

Fans were shocked, but at least they got to enjoy Melanie C and her partner Gleb Savchenko’s quickstep to "You're the One That I Want."

DEREK HOUGH: Oh my gosh. Melanie, you have been extraordinary this whole competition have gotten better and better each week. Olivia, you have really just blossomed for this experience. I-- no! This is a tough one. America what have you done?

CARIE ANN INABA: You both have done phenomenal jobs. I mean, this is not the way it's supposed to work out at all.

- And even through, judges Carie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli voted to save Melanie C, head judge Len Goodman's vote was weighted more heavily and he agreed with Derek Hough choice.

LEN GOODMAN: It was a very close thing, neither of you deserve to be in this--

CARIE ANN INABA: They're put me in my ear for an answer, Len, sorry they're cutting me off in my ear.

LEN GOODMAN: OK. Well, I'm going to say that the couple I'd like to save is Olivia and Gleb.

- With Melanie C and her partner Gleb Savchenko eliminated, many fans directed their anger towards Len. One person tweeted, "I am getting real tired and confused of Len's vote counting for basically 1,000 points." And while it was just another controversy surrounding the show's questionable voting system, at least this Spice Girls final performance revealed what she wants, what she really, really wants.
