JARED JOHNSON: D'Angelo Russell came out with a bang on Monday, helping the Timberwolves secure just their 13th win of the season with a 25.4 triple performance in 24 minutes off the bench. He looked great in his first game back in nearly two months, aggressively attacking the rack, and reigning in 3's whenever the defense sagged off him. And he even logged a good amount of minutes alongside Ricky Rubio.

With the wolves losing the lead Beasley to a hamstring injury for the next four to six weeks, there's a massive hole to fill in the Wolves' offense. And Russell should easily slot into that role. It was encouraging that he saw so many minutes in his first game back. And given how he looked, it shouldn't be long before his earnings starter minutes again as one of the main men in Minnesota's offense. It's been a bumpy ride for D-Lo managers this season, but he could be ready to reward those heavily who held on for this long as he's a safe bet for top 50 value as long as he is on the floor.
