Fishing Results

Daniel Garcia and Ishmael Garcia had 15.43 pounds and also big bass with a 7.87-pounder to win the Polk County Bass Assassins tournament on Oct. 15 on John’s Lake. Chris Fox took second place with 11.51 pounds.

Ken Singletary and Steven Singletary had 20.86 pounds to win first place during Bass N Boats tournament on Oct. 15 on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes. Brant Sims and Dakota Sims took second place with 13.05 pounds. Dustin Meneley and Bob Meneley placed third with 12.61 pounds. Ken Singletary took big bass with a 6.91-pounder.

Andy Beeman had 39.50 pounds to win first place during the Lakeland Bassmaster’ Draw Trail tournament on Oct. 15-16 on the Kissimmee Chain. Kenny Trimble took second place with 37.76 pounds. Jared Mitchell took third place with 30.26 pounds. Kenny Trimble had Day One Big Bass with a 6.13-pounder. Jared Mitchell had Day Two Big Bass with a 6.04-pounder.

Wayne Rhodan and Robert Rhodan had 7.92 pounds to win first place during the Florida Crappie Club tournament on Oct. 15 at Lake Santa Fe. Marvin Wiggins and Laura Wiggins were second with 7.51 pounds. George Parker and Rosie Parker were third with 7.27 pounds. Jack Rhodan Jr. and Tanner Rhodan had big fish with a 1.49-pounder.

Mason Boylan had 34.43 pounds and also big bass with an 8.01-pounder to win first place in the Toho Marine Elite One Man Tour classic tournament on Oct. 15-16 at Lake Okeechobee. Santos Solis Jr. was second with 33.60 pounds. Jess Tacorante was third with 32.51 pounds.

Joshua Witchard and Jacob Schuh had 8.49 pounds and also big bass with a 4.20-pounder to win first place during the Thursday Night Open Series tournament on Oct. 13 on Eagle Lake. Vic Puhak and Matt Puhak took second place with 7.49 pounds. James Burkhalter and Darren Smith were third with 6.98 pounds.

J.W. Watkins and David Crews had 21.74 pounds to win first place during the Kissimmee Bass Series Series Seniors tournament on Oct. 14 on the Kissimmee Chain. George Short and Junior Nottenkamper were second with 20.98 pounds. J.W. Watkins took big bass with a 6.76-pounder.

Bobby Bakewell had 27.78 pounds to win first place during the Kissimmee Bass Series One-Man tournament on Oct. 15 on the Kissimmee Chain. Scott Paul was second with 23.07 pounds. Elwood Glaser took big bass with a 7.95-pounder.

Ishmael Garcia and Dwight Freeman had 13 pounds to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Sunday Open tournament on Oct. 16 on Eagle Lake. Maddox Hood took second place with 11.30 pounds and also had big bass with a 5.20-pounder. Robert Garcia and Alvin Garcia placed third with 8.20 pounds.

Mark Murphy and Mike Ceranski had 10.60 pounds and also had big bass with a 3.70-pounder to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Club Monday Nighter tournament on Oct. 17 on Lake Alfred. Justin Ogilvie and Mike Fuller took second place with 8.11 pounds. Joe Magnetta and Keith Howlett placed third with 6.10 pounds.

Upcoming Tournaments

The last Thursday Night Open Series tournament of the season is on Oct. 20 on the Winter Haven South Chain out of Lake Summit. Time is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sign-ups are at the ramp only and will be cut off at 5:50 p.m. Entry fee is $30 per boat, no more than two people per boat. The next Pond Jumpers Tournament Trail event will be the season-ending classic on Oct. 22 at a location to be announced the day before the event. There is a $20 member fee to join and $60 tournament fee. Time is safe light to 2 p.m. No boats allowed over 90 horsepower and no pro anglers or guides are permitted. The next Lake Wales Po Boys Bass Club tournament is on Oct. 23 on the Winter Haven North Chain out of Lake Rochelle. Entry fee is $70 per team including first and second big bass pot. The Frostproof Church of God Open Bass Tournament scheduled for Oct. 29 at Lake Arbuckle out of the Lake Arbuckle Campground has been postponed due to closure of the campground because of flooding from Hurricane Ian. A new location and date will be announced later in the year.

The Florida Crappie Club will have a tournament on Oct. 29 at Lake Dora, Beauclair and Carlton. Entry fee is $60 per boat for seven fish aggregate and big fish. Sign-up is from 5:45 a.m. until 6:45 a.m. Tourney time is 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call Tony Strollo at 352-584-6970. Due to scheduling, anglers may fish both club tournaments.

The next Sunshine State Crappie Trail tournament is on Oct. 29 at Lake Dora, Beauclair and Carlton. One-time season membership fee is $50 and tournament entry fee is $100. The Xtreme Bass Series State Championship tournament is Nov. 4-5 on Lake Okeechobee out of the Scott Driver park ramp. Entry fee is $300 per team. The Camp Mack Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina & RV Resort 2022 Bonfire Tournament Series finishes its season with the Bonfire Shootout on Nov. 4-5 at Lake Kissimmee. The Lake Wales Breakfast Rotary Club 19th annual Reel ‘Em in For Rotary Charity Bass Tournament will be on Nov. 5 at Lake Kissimmee out of Camp Mack. Time is safe light until 2 p.m. Entry fee is $95 per boat preregistered by Oct. 31 and $125 day of the event. Ramp fee is $6 paid at ramp. First six places are guaranteed prize money along with a big fish pot. Always Fresh Farms, a sponsor, will add an additional $5,000 to the prize money if more than 100 teams register. The next Winter Haven Lunker Lovers tournament will be the season-ending classic Nov. 5-6 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Lester. Up to four anglers per boat with a $60 fee per boat, plus $5 ramp fee. Heaviest six fish go toward place prizes and big fish.
