For decades, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé were adored by television and nightclub audiences for their pitch-perfect harmonies and playful banter.
The couple met on "Tonight Starring Steve Allen" (which became "The Tonight Show") in 1954. They won a Grammy Award in 1960 for "We Got Us," and had a adult contemporary hit with The Osmonds in 1972 with "We Can Make It Together."
Lawrence and Gormé (who died in 2013) won two Emmy Awards, and both had individual top-10 hits. They toured together until 2009, when Gormé retired.
"A Toast to Steve & Eydie" is coming to the Axelrod Performing Arts Center this weekend. Performed by the couple's son David Lawrence and Tony Award winner Debbie Gravitte, the show runs at 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Saturday
Gravitte won a Tony Award for "Jerome Robbins’ Broadway." She also appeared in "Les Misérables," "Zorba," "Ain’t Broadway Grand" and "Perfectly Frank." Lawrence is an Emmy-nominated composer, songwriter and producer, known for scores such as the "High School Musical" trilogy, Disney’s "Descendants" and the "American Pie" franchise.
Music editor Russ Kassoff will be conducting a 20-piece swing band live on stage.

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Live!
One of America's favorite neighborhoods is coming to the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank.
Based on the Emmy Award-winning PBS television series, Daniel Tiger and friends like O the Owl, Miss Elaina, Katerina Kittycat and Prince Wednesday will be hitting the Hackensack Meridian Health Theater stage for "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Live!" at 2 and 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The live show follows Daniel Tiger, his friends and family on an interactive adventure to the Neighborhood of Make Believe, sharing stories of friendship, helping others and celebrating new experiences.
There will be new songs, as well as fan favorites from "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" like "Won't You Be My Neighbor?"
Tickets start at $35. VIP tickets are available, which include a post-show photo with Daniel Tiger.
There are lots of things happening at the Basie this weekend.
Comedian, podcaster, actor and Jersey guy Marc Maron returns home to the Garden State to headline the Hackensack Meridian Health Theater at 7 p.m. Saturday.

At The Vogel stage, the Basie will be hosting Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation's "Let Them Dream Big Concert" at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Celebrating five years of connecting children to the performing arts, special guests include singer Layonne Holmes, as well as ballroom dance performers from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Marlboro. There will be plenty of kid performances, too.
Doors open at 2 p.m., and tickets range from $25 to $35.

Little Dog Brewing Co. releases Ukraine benefit beer
Little Dog Brewing Co. is the latest craft beer operation to join the Brew for Ukraine initiative supporting the embattled country through the power of beer.
On Friday, Little Dog will release Sunflower, a 6% ABV American Blonde Ale brewed with a hint of coriander. Boasting subtly spicy notes, the beer will be available on tap and in four-packs at the Little Dog tasting room, 141 Steiner Ave. in Neptune City, starting at 2 p.m. Friday.
Fifty percent of net proceeds from Sunflower will be donated to the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey, which has been working to provide humanitarian relief in Ukraine.

Murder mystery dinner at Toms River's Mathis House
Tea rooms aren't always about manners and raised pinkies.
Mathis House, a bed and breakfast and tea room at 600 Main St. in Toms River, will host an '80s-themed murder mystery dinner show on Saturday. Guests should dress for the times – think leg warmers and big hair! – and be ready to solve a mystery.

Bradley Ramble music fest at Riley Park
The sixth edition of The Bradley Ramble music festival in Bradley Beach will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday. The featured artists who are rocking the Bandshell at Riley Park this year include Renne Maskin, Joseph Alton Miller and Jerry Lardieri from the band The Brixton Riot.
Tired Starlings serves as the house band. Local artist Liz Evanko will be creating live paintings influenced by the performances.
The festival is inspired by a series of shows dubbed “The Midnight Rambles,” which were hosted by The Band drummer Levon Helm starting back in 2003. Helm’s house band, which performed on the show, backed several renowned artists, including Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Elvis Costello and more.
Dining at the Shore: A celebration of dining at the Jersey Shore
The Bradley Ramble is produced by Little Silver resident Dave Ballard and Fair Haven resident Mike DeSantis, who first put on the show in Little Silver in 2018.
The festival takes place twice a year, in the spring and fall, following Helm’s original format for “The Midnight Rambles,” which pairs local singer/songwriters with the house band.
Admission is free, but attendees should bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Charlie Apicella at the Grunin Center
At 3 p.m. Sunday, the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts in Toms River will host guitarist Charlie Apicella as part of their Jazz on a Sunday Afternoon series, sponsored by The New Jersey Jazz Society.
Apicella will be performing alongside Don Braden on saxophone and flute, Avery Sharpe on bass, and Carmen Interre on drums.
The blues-oriented concert will include songs like "Black Eye Blues" written for Ma Rainey by Thomas Dorsey, and two compositions from the late multi-reedist Yusef Lateef's "Flute Books of the Blues."
Apicella's most recent album "Classic Guitar" celebrates 1950s guitarists Johnny Smith, Freddie Green and Barney Kessel in solo guitar, duo and trio settings.

Jennifer Weiner at the Spring Lake Community House Theater
Celebrating its first anniversary, Thunder Road Books in Spring Lake will be hosting New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Weiner for a meet-and-greet at the Spring Lake Community House Theater.
A $40 ticket gets you into the event on Sunday at 7 p.m., and includes a signed hardcover copy of Weiner's new book "The Summer Place," as well as a drink, light fare and a photo-op.

Monmouth Civic Chorus comes to Colts Neck
The Monmouth Civic Chorus will present one of Handel’s oratorios, “Israel in Egypt” at 4 p.m. Sunday at The Parish of St. Mary in Colts Neck.
The story follows the plagues of Egypt, the flight of the Israelites, and their victory over Pharaoh's army, in choruses, solos and instrumental passages. The choir of over 60 will be accompanied by a professional Baroque chamber orchestra.

Loopalele on the boardwalk
What's a “Loopalele”?
Find out 1 p.m. Sunday at Langosta Lounge on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. Nick Iannelli will be playing one — it's a ukulele with loop pedals.
“It's definitely a step into the future,” said Langosta entertainment director Pete Mantas.
Think of it as four strings with strange and wonderful things added.
Iannelli is a member of Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why when he's not playing his Loopalele.
