Another native of Dansville has been appointed to serve as the leader of the Lansing Lugnuts.

The club announced Monday afternoon the promotion of Zac Clark to general manager,

Clark steps into the GM role previously held by Tyler Parsons, who has departed to become the general manager for the Triple-A Durham Bulls.

"Getting the chance to be the GM of the Lugnuts is the one goal I set for myself when I started out in this industry for many reasons, but primarily because this is my hometown team," Clark said in a statement. "I cannot thank Tyler enough for everything he has done for me and the Lansing community. I know he will continue to do big things in Durham.

"I'm grateful to our owner, Tom Dickson, for believing in me to continue all of the success that the Lugnuts have built here in Lansing."

Clark, who like Parsons is a Dansville native, joined the Lugnuts in 2021 and was the club's assistant general manager. He previously worked with the Johnson City Cardinals and succeeded Parsons as the club's general manager. Clark was named the Appalachian League's top executive in 2018 and 2019.

Parsons had been the general manager of the Lugnuts since November 2017 and called it "bittersweet" to leave the Lugnuts and the Lansing community.

"I can't thank Tom Dickson enough for the opportunity," Parsons said. "I'm extremely proud of what our organization accomplished these past five years. I grew up in the 517 and this place will always hold a special place in my heart."
