According to an incident report from Daphne Police, Joseph Kaynen Gurley allegedly shot J Matthews Bonnell after a fight over the sale of several guns.

The document says Gurley, a woman, and Bonnell drove to 10X Audubon Park apartments.

At some point, Bonnell and Gurley got into an argument, and Gurley shot Bonnell, according to the report.

Daphne police said a man who lived at that unit arrived and was then shot in the chest. He ran away and was able to contact 911 for help.

Gurley is scheduled for a preliminary hearing this Thursday.

Prosecutors may lay out more evidence against him before the case is sent to a Baldwin County Grand Jury.
