Dare County students to have remote learning day due to weather

Students in Dare County Schools will have a remote learning day Tuesday due to inclement weather, the school division said.

Students will receive instructions from their teachers on what to expect for the day.

Mild to moderate coastal flooding predicted in the Outer Banks and sustained winds of 30 miles per hour and gusts reaching 45 to 50 miles per hour makes safely transporting students to and from school a challenge, according to the division.

Tuesday is a regular workday for staff.
