Dark Matter porter earns Logboat gold medal from Great American Beer Festival
Logboat Brewing Company's Dark Matter Porter snagged a gold medal at the 2023 Great American Beer Festival held last month in Denver.
The dark porter with the narwhal on the can won in the brown porter category. The beer, which sits at 6.6% ABV, promises a collision of dark chocolate and coffee flavors and is among Logboat's year-round offerings.
Other Missouri breweries to place at this year's festival include:
Gold: Narrow Gauge Brewing Co. (Florissant) for its Saft; Specialty Berliner-Style Weisse category
Silver: Cinder Block Brewery (North Kansas City) for its Juicy Pilsner; Other Hoppy Lager
Bronze: Shortleaf Brewing (O'Fallon) for its MexicAle; Contemporary Gose
Logboat last won a GABF medal in 2019, taking home bronze for its Yeah Buoy in the India Pale Lager or Malt Liquor category. Next year's event will be held Oct. 10-12, 2024, also in Denver. Learn more about the GABF at https://www.greatamericanbeerfestival.com/.
