Darth Vader and the empire visit Clay County Animal Services

Not so long ago, in a galaxy not far away...

Darth Vader, some stormtroopers and even two Jawas were on hand to help promote pet adoption in Clay County.

While May the Fourth be with you is a fan-created holiday for the beloved Star Wars franchise, it was a fun opportunity to showcase some of the animals that need forever homes.

What better day to rescue a pet than on the day of the force?

To join the dark or the light side? These future pets are just looking for a place to call home.

Darth Vader paid a visit to Clay County Animal Services to take home a new pet.

Even some Stormtroopers came by to show some puppy love.

Stormtrooper intelligence was never known to be a strong asset.

He might not be this kittens father, but you could through adopting.

Jawas made the trip to Clay County Animal Services.

On Clay County’s Animal Service Facebook page:

A strong pull from the Force led visitors to see if these less-loud-equally-hairy-much-tinier-Wookiee-like-creatures are the pets they were looking for.

While some of our four-legged residents had a bad feeling about this, and our staff had to assure them it’s not a trap (do the voice!), the visitors decreed the Force is strong with these guys.

Their order is for all of these Chosen Ones to be chosen for new homes. Remember, “Do, or do not. There is no try.”

May the Force be with you!
