'A dash of gold': Columbus Crew introduces Wilfried Nancy as head coach | Reactions

Wilfried Nancy stresses possession and under his coaching last season, Montreal completed the fourth-most passes in MLS and had the second-highest completion percentage at 82.6%.

A new era for the Columbus Crew began Tuesday.

The Crew named Wilfried Nancy as its eighth coach in team history after spending two seasons as the head coach for CF Montreal and being named a finalist for the 2022 MLS Coach of the Year.

"I am a soccer coach, as you all know," Nancy said in his press conference. "I love my job and I am passionate about the game. I love people, I care (for) people because yes, I am a coach, but it's really important to understand people. By doing that, we will be able to do something great."
