The date is set. Here's when Ja Morant's Ja 1 Nike sneaker will be released

Ja Morant unveiled the Nike Ja 1 sneaker and became the 23rd player with a signature shoe in NBA history.

Ja Morant's first signature shoe will be releasing soon.

Nike basketball announced the Ja 1 sneaker will be made available to the public on April 19. The "Day 1" sneaker, which was the first shoe featured when Morant made the announcement on Christmas Day, will be available to kids and adults in select regions.

Buyers can purchase the "Day 1 colorway" on April via Nike's website or on the Nike app. The shoe will be in retail stores in Memphis on May 4 at a starting price of $110.

The "Day 1" sneaker is Morant's way of honoring his hometown roots and his inner circle. On the insole of the sneaker, you'll find Morant's handwritten notes and dedication to the people who have helped him during his journey.

Morant hasn't wore the "Day 1" sneakers in a game but has showcased them at practice this week as the Memphis Grizzlies prepare to play the Los Angeles Lakers at home.

During a pop-up shop in Utah during NBA All-Star Weekend, fans were able to purchase Ja 1 "Scratch" and Ja 1 "Midnight" sneakers. The "Scratch" sneakers also were made available in late February on the SNKRS app for exclusive members.
