Hey, Bud! Is anything changing at Los Asaderos?

—Hot sauce fan

Los Asaderos is next door to Amy’s but in a different building, so nothing is changing at the Villarreal family’s restaurant known for green chicken enchiladas and some of the city’s best hot sauce.

It’s open for lunch and dinner Wednesdays through Sundays; 1535 N. Main St., 817-626-3399. losasaderos.com.

Brown’s new BBQ in south Fort Worth

Hey, Bud! I saw Brown’s Backyard BBQ on McCart. What’s that about?

—Hector, Fort Worth

The Brown family’s barbecue restaurant will open in a few weeks after they operated a truck briefly at 5608 McCart Ave. across from Mexico Real.

It’s basic oak-smoked barbecue from an old-time boiler-style pit. (It’s no relation to Tony Brown’s former restauraht on Edgewood Terrace.)
