BROOKLYN, NY — Patch has compiled a list of events neighbors in Prospect and Crown Heights should mark on their calendars.
From community meetings, local exhibits, to family events, here are the dates to know for the week of Jan. 10:
Wellness Wednesdays: Council Member Robert Cornegy Jr. hosts a food distribution in the community every Wednesday, typically starting at 11 a.m. and running as long as supplies lasts. This week, he will be at the Tompkins Houses at 736 Park Ave.

Brooklyn Museum:Teen Flyday Fridays: Join us on Instagram for teen-led discussions, activities, and resources that are relevant for teens locally and globally. Topics range from environmental racism to surviving COVID-19 as an LGBTQ+ youth. Each program is planned by members of our Teen Night Planning Committee, Museum Apprentice program, and InterseXtions. Tuesday, Jan. 19: Community Board 8 Housing of Preservation and Development “Report Back” Meeting, 6:15 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 21: Community Board 8 Health and Human Services Committee, 5:15 p.m.
Brooklyn Museum, Virtual Family Adventures: Thursday, Jan. 21 from 1 to 1:30 p.m. and 4 to 4:30 p.m.; Explore works of art in our collection through interactive games and activities, designed for kids ages 4–8 and their caregivers.
