Daughter of Mary Kay Letourneau and Vili Fualaau gives birth to baby boy

Mary Kay Letourneau and Vili Fualaau’s 25-year-old daughter, Georgia, has given birth to a baby boy, making Fualaau a grandfather at the young age of 40.

It marks a new chapter in the unorthodox family saga, which began in 1996, when a 34-year-old Letourneau engaged in a sexual relationship with her then-12-year-old student. The couple wed in 2005, when Fualaau was 21, and went on to have two daughters.

Now, almost three decades since the scandal first began, their youngest daughter has become a proud mom with her longtime boyfriend, an aspiring boxer whose identity has been kept private, reports People.

The birth came earlier in January, a source close to the family confirmed to the outlet. It also followed the recent birth of Vili’s third child, a daughter named Sophia, which he welcomed with a new partner in November 2022.

Georgia said her father and older sister, Audrey, have been “extremely supportive” over the course of her pregnancy, and that her dad’s “already buying baby stuff for me and giving me hand-me-downs from my baby sister.”

While she’s grateful for the guidance from her father and sister, Georgia added in a previous interview with People that she knows her mother would’ve been “really happy.”

Letourneau, who pleaded guilty to two counts of child rape and served more than seven years in prison for her relationship with Vili, died in 2020 at the age of 58 after being diagnosed with stage-4 cancer.

“I think maybe at first it would be kind of shocking, because I am her baby, but after that, she’d be the most excited grandmother-to-be… I feel like everything she’s taught us, just led to us being able to be amazing parents in the future,” Georgia said.
