Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game ... Merveille Bile
MOLINE — The Galesburg High School boys basketball team fell to Moline 76-49 on Friday night in Western Big 6 Conference action at historic Wharton Field House.
Senior Merveille Bile was named the Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game for the Silver Streaks thanks in part to his hard play coming off the bench late in the game.
Bile scored six points, had a steal, and a couple of rebounds in the loss.
The Dave's Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game is chosen by WGIL's Brad Bennewitz and Jeremy Pickrel.
"Crunch Time" is based on exactly that. It's not a player of the game or a game MVP. It's about who stepped up at a critical point in the game and was a difference-maker. Sometimes it's one play or sometimes it's an individual who made more than one key play. It really could be anything.
