Dave & Buster's hiring for new location in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY - Dave & Buster's is looking to hire 160 people for a new location that's expected to open next month.

The Texas-based firm plans a Dec. 11 debut for its "entertainment and restaurant hub" at Tanger Outlet Center, 2120 Atlantic Ave.

The 21,900-square-foot facility will hold more than 100 arcade games, a "chef-crafted" menu and "innovative" drinks, the company said in a Nov. 6 statement.

A sports bar will feature a 40-foot high-definition video screen.

Dave & Buster's also offers bowling, laser tag, arcade games and other attractions, according to the company’s website.

The firm is accepting online applications for front- and back-of-house positions, including servers, bartenders, line cooks and game techs.

The Atlantic City address once housed the 40/40 Club, a sports bar and lounge run by entertainment mogul Jay-Z. It operated at Tanger Outlets from 2005 to 2012.

Tanger Outlets holds more than 80 tenants at a 488,000-square-foot, open-air shopping center.

The Dave & Buster's chain currently has one South Jersey location, at Gloucester Premium Outlets in Gloucester Township, and a site on Philadelphia's Delaware River waterfront.

Its parent firm, founded in 1982, operates 157 Dave & Buster's stores in 41 stores, Puerto Rico and Canada

The company also runs the Main Event chain of bowling centers at 57 sites.
