Dave Chappelle Adds Second Week of Shows to Broadway Debut

Dave Chappelle has added a second week of shows to his upcoming residency in New York that will mark his Broadway debut.

The comedian will now perform “Dave Chappelle Live on Broadway” for 10 shows at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and will be there between July 9-20. Tickets go on sale for the newly added shows on June 28 at 10 AM EST via Ticketmaster.

“Dave Chappelle Live on Broadway” is produced by Live Nation, The Araca Group and EBG (Entertainment Benefits Group). No recording devices are allowed during the shows, and all shows are cellphone and camera-free events.

In 2017, Chappelle had a 16-show residency at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, featuring guest appearances by Childish Gambino, Solange, The Roots, Kendrick Lamar and Erykah Badu, among others. He’s also set to receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor from the Kennedy Center in October.

The comedian released four stand-up comedy specials on Netflix in 2017, “The Art of Spin,” “Deep in the Heart of Texas,” “Equanimity” and “The Bird Revelations.” In 2018, he won his second Emmy award for Outstanding Variety Special for “Equanimity.”

Chappelle is repped by Rick Greenstein at The Gersh Agency for live touring.
