Dave’s BBQ Bar now open at Dave’s Diner

The wait is over! Dave’s BBQ Bar is now open at Dave’s Diner, 390 W. Grove St., Middleboro. The BBQ Bar is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 2 to 9 p.m. They offer dine-in and take-out, as well as online ordering. The bar offers all kinds of cocktails, beers, margaritas, and frozen treats. Options include: Dave’s BBQ punch, with Bacardi rum, Captain Morgan, Parrot Bay coconut rum, Amaretto, orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and a float of 151; Sam Adams, Guinness, and Shipyard Pumpkin; an adult root beer float, with Eli’s draft root beer and vanilla vodka, topped with vanilla ice cream; and much more! The BBQ Bar’s food menu is sizable. Appetizers include: fried tumbleweed onions, onion strings with Thousand Island dressing; and loaded Idaho tots, which come with bbq beef brisket, Cajun grilled chicken, crumbled bacon, bbq pulled pork, or Cajun grilled shrimp, topped with Mexican cheese sauce. They’ve got beef brisket chili, clam chowder, and various salads. Burgers come with various bbq toppings, plus they’ve got wraps and sandwiches, like a Cajun shrimp po’boy, and the Texas grilled cheese sandwich, with bbq beef brisket, bacon, or bbq pulled pork, American cheese and grilled Texas toast. BBQ specialties include brisket and pulled pork, as well as St. Louis-style pork ribs. They’ve also got chicken fajitas, El Paso shrimp, and arroz con pollo. There’s a special mac and cheese menu, a kid’s menu, and Dairy Barn desserts, including soft serve ice cream. Terrarium & Taps workshop at Ugly Duckling

Inebri-Art and the Ugly Duckling Restaurant & Bar are teaming up for a Terrarium & Taps workshop. It will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the restaurant, 47 Weir St., Taunton. Make your very own terrarium to take home. Materials are included, like the glass, plants, soil, moss, stones, etc. A limited number of tickets are available, and cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. Cornbread Cookie pizza at Dough Licious

Dough Licious Pizza, 539 Berkley St., Berkley, is known for creative flavor combinations. They’ve got a new dessert creation: the cornbread cookie. Melted butter and cream cheese are the base, then they add brown sugar, cornbread and chocolate chips, and it’s topped with a sprinkle of brown sugar and melted butter.

Islands Cafe & Bakery now offers delivery

You can now get your sweets dropped off right at your door. Islands Cafe & Bakery, 91 Weir St., Taunton, is now offering delivery services with Door Dash.

Pumpkin Oreo is back at Frates Drive-In

Summer is coming to an end, and the herald of fall is pumpkin spice. Pumpkin coffee is back at both Dunkin’ and Starbucks, but you can still combine a little bit of summer with your fall flavor at Frates Drive-In, 1423 Somerset Ave., Taunton. They’ve got Pumpkin Oreo ice cream back in the mix; just the right bridge between summer and fall, and delicious to boot.

Cookie butter frappe at Frankie & Dia’s Ice Cream and Hot Cocoa

There’s a new frappe in town. Frankie & Dia’s Ice Cream and Hot Cocoa, 407 New State Highway, Raynham, now offers a cookie butter frappe, made with The Islander’s Creamery cookie butter ice cream, and real cookie butter, topped with a Biscoff cookie crumble.
