Strangers Things star David Harbour and The Last Of Us star Pedro Pascal are bonafide daddies – and even they know it by now.

On the CinemaCon red carpet for his latest project Gran Turismo alongside Orlando Bloom and Never Have I Ever's Darren Barnett, Harbour acknowledged his own "daddy" status to a reporter for Entertainment Tonight.

After Harbour praised the TV adaptation of The Last of Us on HBO Max, he was asked by ET, "Do you know Pedro Pascal? Because you guys are in the Daddy-verse together."

"We are," he replied. "We occupy a certain realm of the Daddy-verse. I know him very well, actually.”

Harbour goes on to gush over The Last of Us and compares it to his upcoming film, as both of them were adapted from video games. "Video game movies are really hard and when they pitched me the idea, I was like that's the dumbest thing I ever heard because it's just a simulator. What are you going to do, stitch together some dumb story?"

But Harbour ended up loving the concept. "It's a real story of a kid who played the video game then wound up winning." He calls Gran Turismo "a sports movie. It's Hoosiers, it's Miracle. It has this real feel-good sports movie in it. Then you have Neil [Blomkamp, director] coming in with all his video game knowledge and sci-fi stuff. You have that same sort of feel when you're in the car, we give you that experience, but at its essence, it's an emotional sports movie. It's not a video game movie."

Harbour is set to star alongside Pascal in HBO's upcoming drama series My Dentist’s Murder Trial, so they two seemingly know each other well. The show will tell the story of Dr. Gilberto Núñez, who was accused of murdering his best friend Thomas Kolman. It began development last year and it's not clear what stage of the production they're currently in, but we won't truly enter the Daddy-verse until it's released.
