Russia's war against Ukraine - the main events of May 25

At the event, panelists discussed what is at stake in Ukraine and how international partners can most effectively support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.

The main topics of discussion included the issue of where the war is heading, what steps need to be taken now, and what is the strategic outlook for the future of Ukraine, Europe and the world.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attended the event by video.

CNN host Fareed Zakaria moderated a discussion with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, President of Latvia Egils Levits, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, the editor-in-chief of The Economist Zanny Minton Beddoes, Professor of History at Yale University Timothy Snyder, founder and CEO of Fortescue Metals Group Andrew Forrest, co-founder and co-chairman of the Carlyle Group David Rubenstein, and founder and CEO of Jigsaw Jared Cohen.

The Davos Ukrainian Breakfast Discussion has been held annually since 2005. It is aimed at promoting Ukraine and uniting Ukrainian and international leaders.

In addition to the traditional Ukrainian morning discussion, the Pinchuk Foundation will also take part in creating and holding the "Russian War Crimes House" on May 22-26, and will act as a co-organizer of the Ukrainian House in Davos on May 23-25.
